This session will provide a hands-on demonstration of several models to create interactive, customized reports for your practice. It will begin with Excel Pivot Tables that sort, filter, group and chart data. Then, there will be a demonstration on connecting those Excel reports to SQL Server so that when the data in SQL Server changes, the reports and charts automatically update every time Excel is opened. Finally, there will be an introduction to SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to schedule email alerts and create webpages that show just what you need to know when you need to see it.
By the end of the course, attendees will be able to:
- Differentiate three different models for creating customized reports for medical practices.
- Analyze Excel, SQL Server, and SSRS custom reports.
- Leverage applications for each reporting model in your practice environment.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops to have a hands-on experience during this session.
